Recognizing
Divine Order & Authority
For
I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to
one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant,
'Do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard these things, He
marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him,
"I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!"
Matthew
8:9-10
In the Kingdom
everything operates by Divine order and authority. There are spiritual laws in
place that even satan and his demons must abide by. These laws can also work to
their advantage as well as against them. The spiritual realm is ordered by a
hierarchy of both angels and demons, light and darkness. Those of greater
authority have dominance over those of less authority. It is true in the
invisible realm. It is also true in the visible realm.
Unfortunately,
often this is overlooked when it comes to the authority of the believer.
Believers have authority in the spiritual realm yet; many believers act like
Holy Ghost Rambo’s and do not follow Divine order and protocol.
All
“authority” isn’t equal. A Prophet would have greater authority than
someone who simply “prophesies”. An apostle would have greater authority
than a pastor, IF the pastor recognizes and yield’s to that authority.
Some ministries
carry greater authority than others simply because in God’s Divine purpose and
plan for them, to some he gives regional ministry, to others national, and still
to others international. It has to do with God’s choice; yet, even within our
callings promotions come based on our faithfulness at the level we’ve been
given1.
Regarding
"disunity" in the Body - It is simply because we "all" were
wrongly taught. "All", as in, all of us who grew up in church. What
teaching we did have on the authority of the believer seemed to carry this
theme, 'Kick every devil, ask no questions, take no prisoners."
In
essence that IS the Gospel Truth - What we weren't taught was to recognize
authority. The church in America still thinks because we are all positionally
“In Christ” (Ephesians Chapter 1 throughout), and because, "Jesus,
loves us all equally", we "all" have the same authority. However,
the church in America has yet to learn the “Church” isn’t a democracy.
The very fact that it is a "Theocracy" raises the point of Divine
Order, with a Head, and a Body of lesser and more important parts.2
Jesus
never put His decisions to a vote. He never called a conference. He never asked
the disciples their opinion once the Father had spoken. Something perhaps we
should consider. I’m not saying we shouldn’t have some parameters for the
occasional wayward leader. What I am saying is: “If God has truly spoken for
us to do something, why do we feel a need to put it to a vote?”
Why?
Because of attempting to interpret the Biblical perspective of Divine order and
rule, and make it applicable to a democratic thinking society.
We
must learn to recognize and yield “our authority” to those of “higher
authority” that God has Divinely placed over us. In so doing the
“authority” we do have will carry a greater weight in the spirit realm.
Demons and fallen angels know this, when will we learn?
Selah.
My
Embrace,
Eddie
