Brazil Revival Report

Greetings In Jesus Mighty Name:

This will be a limited report due simply to lack of space, time and content. Nevertheless, we want to thank all who contributed to this event either through prayer and/or your financial giving.

The week of February 11-17 found us criss-crossing across the interior regions of Brazil. From the mountains to the desert  visiting 6 cities in 6 days. From our base and starting point in the coastal city of Fortaleza, we traveled to Sao Benedito, Guaraciaba do Norta, Nova Russas, Oros, Ico, Jaquaribe and back to the base church in Fortaleza and our host pastor.

Pastor Pedro in Fortaleza had apostolically set pastors in church plants in all of these cities to which we traveled. My spiritual father, Dan Duke, would preach in each venue, and after giving an invitation for salvation and restoration would then turn the services over to us to pray for the sick.

The fire of God would fall in many of those meetings and would virtually swallow up all in sight leaving the beginning and the end of all ministry to the Source of all ministry - the precious Holy Spirit. Salvations and miracles would literally happen simultaneously.

Just to mention a few highlights that stood out. In the mountain city of Sao Benedito, our first night, a pastor had suffered a stroke five years previous which left him partially paralyzed on one half of his body. He could only "shuffle around" with the aid of a cane and someone close by. If he turned his head in either direction too fast it would cause him to lose his equilibrium and fall.

As we prayed for this man of God the Holy Spirit gently put him on his operating table (the floor). I knelt beside him and ministered to the side of his body that was paralyzed commanding the nerves to come alive. After a few minutes we helped him up and much to the delight of all (myself included) he was totally healed by the power of God. He walked and moved as well as I do. (see picture below)

Many pastors and leaders were encouraged and ministered to during morning sessions with Dan and myself. We felt we left an impartation with every leader of each city. Many of these pastors would follow us to the next city, some as many as 500 kilometers away.

In the city of Oros the campaign was held on the streets. The mayor of the city had given the "keys of the city" to our crusade team. That night the mayor and her husband gave their lives to Jesus Christ! Afterward we were afforded the honor to privately pray for the mayor and her husband for the prosperity and welfare of their city and government leaders. Folk, this is how the Good News of the Gospel is suppose to be: changing the culture of a city, a region, a nation!

In that same meeting a man was brought to me with some type of arthritic condition that left him stiff as a board. Without trying to be humorous here, he literally walked like the old Frankenstein monster of the movies. He had limited mobility and could only lean forward about 15 degrees from an upright position. We also learned his mother had dedicated him to an idol (a local demon) as a baby and had had this condition all his life.

We broke the curse and ministered to him for about 10-15 minutes until he was able to bend over and touch his toes. He could twist his back and raise his arms above his head, something he couldn't do before. He received about 95% mobility in all his body. He remained with some stiffness in his neck, yet, followed us the rest of the week and improved in every area as the week progressed. This was a miracle and a gift of recovery all rolled into one. (See his picture below)

Without exaggeration in the city of Nova Russas (New Russsia) after breaking the spirit of witchcraft over the open air amphitheater we were in, both salvations and miracles happened like 'pop-corn'. We prayed for the sick until late in the night. Probably 90% of all we prayed for received the healing or miracle. In fact, miracles were happening even before we prayed for them. One woman in particular as she waited for me to lay hands on her was healed of a 15 year severe neck, jaw and ear pain. As I started to lay hands on her the Holy Spirit said: "The work is done." She was amazed she was pain free.

While all of these things are exciting and encouraging to me, yet, in all of this I am most grateful the miracles don't remain in the foreign lands. We see the same miracles week after week right here in West Georgia. That to me, is the most exciting fact. Not only is Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever; He is the same Miracle-Working Savior in Brazil, Africa and other third world nations as He is in America.

Don't become disillusioned or discouraged just because you haven't seen it where you are. Remember this is indeed a faith walk. Every single day.

Blessing & My Embrace in Jesus,

Eddie
