What Hell Fears Most
“Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee”
Luke 4:14

While the kingdom of darkness doesn’t know everything regarding an individual’s calling and destiny, it certainly has learned to recognize a potential threat to their territorial authority. Any army would consider it wise to remove a threat sooner, rather than later before it becomes strong.

All Things Considered

Consider the threat Moses posed. Even as an infant his life was in danger.1 Or, consider the untold number of male children whose lives were lost due to the threat this newborn King posed to Herod’s domain.2

No doubt Heavenly destines have been compromised early in life due to the potential threat seen against the kingdom of darkness. Prophetic voices have been silenced as their gifts have been turned into money making psychic schemes. Those originally ordained to carry worshippers into the Presence of God have been robbed of their Divine vocation by fame and fortune settling for a lifestyle of “quick and easy.”

I am convinced those who have suffered the most attacks and temptations from the “dark side”, as well as, those who have endured the most rigorous persecution from religious camps, are equally those who are carrying the greatest potential for releasing God’s Power and His Presence.

Fear This!

The enemy’s camp literally runs amuck when a man or a woman can carry the Power and the Presence of God, and maintain it! There is no greater threat to the strongholds of our adversary than those who walk in the tangible Presence and Power of the Most High God.

When one carries the Presence of God, they are literally carrying a miniscule amount of the substance of Heaven. The Glory of God is the manifest Presence of God. Inside the Presence is all  the provision one ever needs to fulfill their personal mandate from Heaven. The enemy’s goal is to keep us in continual lack and need, however, if you are walking in the Presence, you are walking in abundance.

Can’t Touch This

The Presence of God is tangible and at times even visible. Several years ago I was standing with a friend behind the scenes of a New Year’s conference. As we casually talked with the host of the conference about “non-religious” things, I felt the Presence of God exuding from this man. Like hot liquid syrup being poured out on my head and down my body, try, as I liked, I could not maintain my natural composure as the manifest Presence of God began to envelope my natural body. Literally unable to stand or think any longer, the natural succumbed to the Spirit as I fell to the floor being washed and refreshed in this magnificent manifold Glory of the Almighty.

To the uninformed and natural thinking individual this would be a senseless display of over emotional Charismatic Christianity.3 To those who cherish the Presence of God above life itself, it is a display of Holy affection from the Father towards His chosen and set apart children. To the enemy, it sends a quaking throughout the spheres of darkness to the prophetic reality of their eternal defeat.

What’s In Your Wallet?

To carry the Power of God is nothing less than the virtual Anointing of the Holy Spirit to destroy the yokes and remove the burdens of all that wars against our souls.4 The Anointing is more than shear power; it is the will of God that proves nothing can prevail against those upon whom His Anointing flows. It is for this reason satan so fears those who walk in the Power and the Presence of a Holy God. It speaks of Light displacing darkness, and liberty replacing bondage. In essence, it is the revealing of the sons of God.5

It is for this reason the enemy will attempt to prevent one of these “sons of God’ from emerging by redirecting or hindering their God given gifts and talents. Often by opening unauthorized doors of misfortune and calamity. In the event, these predestined carriers of the Presence and Power find their callings and appointments, there will be released an unholy bombardment of temptations and tests. This is where the character of the man, or woman, must be equal to the anointing they carry, otherwise their fall is inevitable.

For the most part, when men or women of God fall or fail, the enemy can then assume they are “written off Heaven’s list” as well. Equally so, they are frequently written off the “church’s list” as a casualty of war, never to be heard from again. And for the most part, sad to say, this is true.

Nevertheless, they are never fully written off God’s list if the fruit of repentance is manifest in their life. They may no longer hold the respect and awe of the Pharisees, yet, upon emerging from the refining fires of holiness, they may well prove to be the worst nightmare hell could conceive. Not only were the plans of devils foiled, the desert experience has brought character issues up to par with Presence and Power. Not to mention becoming wiser, more sensitive, more loving, and carrying a new, and humbling respect of the fear of God. As Joseph said to his brothers, As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil.” (Genesis 50:20 NLT)

Return Of The Holy

Jesus faced the tempter, and his temptations, alone in the desert without yielding. The key word in our passage isn’t “power”; it’s “He returned.” It’s irrelevant if it takes forty days, or even forty years, when anyone returns from their wilderness experience carrying the Presence and the Power of God, Heaven rejoices for they have then returned to their destiny and calling.6

These spiritual refugees from exile have not only paid a price for their mistakes, they’ve also paid a price no one will ever see, or know, to carry what hell fears most.

My Embrace,

Eddie
